Alicia Keys Displays A New Do!!

Thanks to our Glam friends over at HelloBeautiful.com, we've just learned that Alicia Keys revealed a new 'do' during her performance on "Good Morning America" this AM.

It's funny, I was just having a convo about short and natural hair with a glam friend yesterday. I'm really loving how black women are no longer being enslaved by their tresses.  It's nice to see that some of us aren't letting the length of our hair define us.  There's something liberating about chopping it all off and rocking a defined short cut like Alicia, or a fierce bob, like Beyonce aka Mrs. Carter (my favorite) or even a sleek & slick look like Mrs. Jackson (if you're nasty).  Black women are naturally gorgeous and it's about time that we start to embrace our beauty!

At the end of the day, it's JUST hair.  It will grow back!  But no matter how long or short, Mrs Swizz Beats seems to be able to werk just about anything.

Which Glam Wore It Best?! Coco Rocha vs Katy Perry in Emanual Ungaro

Okay so, we might be a smidge late to the party on this one, but, apparently the internet is a buzz with fashion-glam talk of MTV VMA "Roar" performer Katy Perry, rocking the shorter version of Coco Rocha's Met Ball Emanuel Ungaro Leopard Print Dress...And word on the street is that Coco Rocha ain't too happy about it either.  Ain't nobody got time for that!  (Oh, how we love Sweet Brown for that one).

Um so, what ever happened to originality people?  I mean, seriously.  Both, the MTV VMAs and the Met Ball are huge events in the world of fashion.  Everything is about what you're wearing, so if someone is going to recycle a dress, maybe it shouldn't be one that is so memorable. And especially when it's this crazy a couture. Ya, think?! (Ooh, someone's stylist is in trouble).  But let's admit, the leopard print probably works better for the music crowd and not so much for the museum folks, but still.  

The only difference that really sets these two dresses a part is the shorter length worn by Miss Perry.  Other than that, it's a dupe with the exception of Coco Rocha's bootie to Katy's plain sandal.  Oh, and those heavy bangs on Coco Rocha, now that's a whole other conversation. Yes, I know, heavy bangs are on trend, but I'm jus' sayin...

And to wrap things up, in all honesty, I'm not a fan of this dress on either one of them.  I think it has something to do with all of that applique on the shoulders with the busy-ness of the print.  It's just too much or something.  But never mind my opinion, what do you Glams think?
